The new CRPD 2012 ICT Accessibility Progress Report is out, and I thought some folks might find it interesting. A quotation from the report that relates to a point I was making in my presentation about access caught my attention: “80.4 percent of States Parties do not have mandatory training programs (at universities, vocational schools, etc.) for future professionals about digital accessibility for persons with disabilities.” I am not suggesting that training be mandatory, but I would like to see faculty, staff, and administrations working with the DHers to build access.
